I sing to the kidcats ALL the time. They each have their own special song and I just make some up as I go. And, yes, I sing to the outdoor kidcats, too.
Yesterday I was singing to Arthur and he joined right in! He's such a sweet boy.

(2,931 posts)Most of them are just changed lyrics from other songs but some I made up on my own. In the morning, I just need to say "Char Char song" and my Charlie runs to the bedroom and onto the bed then flops on his back for a tummy rub while I sing. My favorite part of the morning.

(92,378 posts)I called mine would not allow me to sing at home. She'd sit on my toes and bite me if I didn't stop immediately on demand. Didn't matter that I was part a a classical vocal ensemble, she was not having it in our house. So I had to do all my rehearsing when she was outside somewhere or at a practice hall on campus.
It makes me wonder what is really going on in their heads when they are freaking out about their human singing.

I think I need to do it more often, so she can get used to it. I like the idea of picking out a special song for her and singing it to her repeatedly. Gonna have to give that some thought!
we can do it

(25,378 posts)I can't tell if she is trying to sing along or saying, "Knock it off!" One time, while I was playing my flute, she jumped up on my lap and nipped me on my chin, so I suspect the latter. She also gets vocal if she hers singing on the television, but only female voices.
Who knows?
