Mine likes to bring grape tomatoes upstairs and leave them on my bed. Somehow she carries them up in her mouth without biting them.

(27,269 posts)She found socks that I had lost! Those are the ones she dragged out when I remembered to close my sock drawer.

(14,628 posts)Some cats like to bring their people dead mice or snakes and lizards. My cat just brings me wand toys and I am okay with that. When she was a kitten she would pull the sink stopper out of our bathroom sink and leave it usually in the entry way, occasionally in the dining room.

(14,663 posts)After I jumped about 8 feet in the air and kicked the roach across the room, I was finally able to go back to sleep, in another room.
She brought it to me again. A live roach. In my bed. For the second time in one night.
She was banished from my bedroom after that.

(12,906 posts)And sometimes he sucks on it.
The ball is too big to swallow and he is adorable when his fuzzyball is in his mouth. Been trying to get his picture with the fuzzyball and cannot get it.
When I do get that pic DU will be the first to see it.

(30,150 posts)He also takes baths in the water bowl and likes to drink water out of the dripping faucet.
Someone dumped him in the country and he lived in our forest for several months before his rescue and I believe he lived with raccoons.

(7,194 posts)She puts "crunchies" (pieces of dry food) in the water bowl & then scoops them out with her paw.
I say she's making soup.

(9,687 posts)LOVED sweet baked goods like donuts and muffins. If you had one he would bug you endlessly until you gave him a little (thats all he wanted). He especially loved angel food cake. One time I made one, left it out to cool and later found it on the kitchen floor with some bites out.

(7,194 posts)She sees us turning light switches on/off & she jumps up the door jamb, grabbing the casing (trim) on both sides. If there's a light switch next to a doorway, there are cat claw marks on the trim on both sides & she actually gets several inches higher than the switch.
She hasn't turned a light on/off that we know of, but she seems to be trying.

These stairs have a door at the bottom, and if one of us is in the room when she wants to go upstairs, she will sit by that door and mew until one of us opens it, then she will tear up those stairs like a bat out of hell.
Never mind the fact that the door is never latched & she is perfectly capable of pulling it open enough to get through it. Her food and litter are downstairs and she likes to hang out upstairs with Mr YD most of the day, so she goes up and down those stairs on her own quite regularly to get snacks and visit the box.
She also escorts Mr YD into the bathroom so he will turn on the drip in the sink for her. Many times she will mew at him until he follows her in there for her water fountain. She does not like the way I turn on the water though, and she is not interested in the other bathroom sink at all.

If you want some for breakfast, you have to take the bowl with you to the refrigerator to add the milk. Turn your back or take a single step away, he's up to his ears in the dry cereal. You eat it with your arms circled around it and a mighty glare on your face. An instant of inattention results in unwanted sharing.
I have a cat who eats dry barley, in preference to literally anything else.
