Aquamation: When a pet is cremated by water - not fire - CNA

Having lost pets before and as a current pet owner I know that the subject of the passing of our pets is a sensitive subject. While I do not know whether it is feasible for some people to have their pets cremated, this video from Channel News Asia in Singapore discusses a method of cremation using alkaline solutions that is more environmentally conscious than cremation by fire.

As a mention to the side, the process will also work for humans so in a world where resources are more scarce this may be a glimpse of the future.
