(92,492 posts)Figured out how good it is to be a kitty at your house. That is absolute contentment. It's great that they all get cuddly together with whomever is available.
So sweet!

(27,267 posts)During the day, not so much but she snuggles with the boys.
She does want me to carry her to the kitchen when it's time to eat. That's a new behavior.

(92,492 posts)Mikey likes it when I pick him up and carry him around. He has one foreleg outstretched like he's royalty, but he weighs 15lbs so I can only do it for so long!
The last Siamese cats I had, a very long time ago, was kind of small and she would leap up, with one step on my waistband, to my shoulder so that all I had to do was fold my arms under her as she arrived. She really liked to be carried around, she was only about ten pounds. She even tried to mimic giving me a kiss on the cheek making a sound with he tongue. She was really amazing, people would tell me they didn't like cats thought she was exceptional.
I like your gang of kitties, they sure are lovey and they play well with each other.

(27,267 posts)She's come such a long way from hiding out, all day and night, and only appearing for food. AND I had to leave the room.

(27,267 posts)After Carys hopped up to get a bath from Madoc, Arthur and Gryff leaned their heads against each others and fell back to sleep.

(27,267 posts)When I brought Madoc and his litter mates in, Sophie did not approve. On rare occasion she'd let one of them near her. She was old and sick so it didn't surprise me. I just gave her a whole lot of 'her and me' time. When the kittens were put back in their room, at night, she'd sleep on me, all night.
Madoc and Gryff bonded within days. Fortunately puberty hadn't yet entered the situation and they were both neutered, shortly after.
I set it up so that the boys could see Arthur and his siblings through a glass partition. There were a few soft hisses and swats but far more curiosity and fascination. Once the kittens joined the 'general population', things went great.
And for some reason, bringing Carys and her siblings in was seamless. The boys just welcomed them in. Maybe they figured why waste time being mean when we can PLAY!!

(24,293 posts)the others had become used to sharing space with other felines. Plus, Arthur is close enough in age with Carys that, for him, it was probably like getting replacements for his siblings who had gone to other homes. Playmates his own age again and one of them stayed.
Since Madoc and Gryff were no longer feral when the new litters arrived, they might have felt more curiosity than hostility toward such little ones after having a chance to get acquainted with the sight and scent before physical contact with the new babies.
So now they are their own indoor cat colony for socialization.
