Healing vibes for my sweet Maybee, please.
My husband was bringing her home from work tonight…Maybee ran out of our shop and sped around the truck…she turned quickly and hit her shoulder on the hitch…she piled right up in pain. When he got her home, she couldn’t walk straight or put any weight on her front right shoulder. We rushed her to the emergency vet. Dr. Briggs felt she had good range of motion but definite gait deficit. Not sure if we have a deep tissue injury or something more serious. We got a carprofen rx to get us through the night and brought her home. The per ER was very busy tonight and Mabes was really stressed out. We will go back tomorrow for films and whatever else she might need. She’s resting on my bed for the moment. Keeping a border collie pup quiet is a challenge but as of right now she’s complying.

Do you have any cbd oil you could let her lick or in food? It will help with pain and healing promotion. Perhaps tomorrow you could see if a pot store has something she could take.

I have it and gave her a couple squirts in a pill pocket. She wasn’t very interested in food but she did take that.

That should help her sleep peacefully for a couple hours at least. It should help with the pain. I've used it on a few pets and it seems the most merciful blessing without side effects.
Please provide the name of the one you use--I've been leery of buying CBD oil to give to pets because of hearing that some brands are not effective.

I can't help you with that, I make my own. I had the opportunity to grow, as foreman of the operation, a crop of high grade, medical cbd hemp and I have a healthy stash of dried, raw stuff that I took as part of my compensation. If stored properly, it can last for years dried.
I hope someone who buys it can chime in and help.

I sure hope nothing's broken. I know deep tissue injuries can really fool you into thinking an injury is worse than it really is. I had one a few years years that had me convinced I'd broken something at first. Before that, I had no idea how much pain it was possible to be in without something being broken.
I might as well tell the whole story, so here goes. Before moving to our current location, my husband and I lived for several years in a complex that was very poorly managed. One of their major failings was snow removal. I think the wanker they were paying to clear the snow out of the parking lot must have been somebody's brother in law or something. I can't imagine why someone who did such a colossal lousy job was kept on year after year unless he had an "in" of some kind with the management company.
Anyhow...one winter Saturday morning, I went out to the parking lot, planning to get in my car and go someplace or other. The pavement was coated with a layer of snow that had been partially, but not completely removed. In addition, there were various "humps" where snow had been piled haphazardly here and there (because the guy who plowed it was evidently more into snow rearrangement than actual snow removal). I think it had been like that for a few days, some of which were sunny enough to melt the snow slightly, after which it all refroze, turning it all into ice. It was slippery as hell, and just before I reached my car, my feet flew out from under me and I landed on my back, slamming my left shoulder blade into one of those hard, frozen ice humps.
I thought SURE I'd broken something. Getting up without assistance was out of the question, as was even trying to sit up. Fortunately, I had my cell phone with me, so I called my husband to tell him what had happened and that I needed to go to the emergency room. He wasn't dressed yet, so it took him a few minutes to get out there. Fortunately, I was well bundled up, so lying there on the ice to wait wasn't too uncomfortable. 
Once he got there, I was able to get to my feet with his help, and we headed for the emergency room. X-rays were taken, and I was sent home with painkillers and my arm in a sling, having been assured nothing was broken.
Boy, was my shoulder sore, but after wearing that sling for about a week, I was almost as good as new. From that experience, I learned that a deep tissue injury can really feel terrible when it happens but heal a lot faster than you might think. I'm hoping Maybee's injury isn't any worse than mine was and that she snaps back a lot faster than I did (which she should, since she's a healthy young lady, and I was well into my 60s at the time of my injury).

Maybee’s quick and complete recovery. Poor baby. Decades ago, one of my dogs broke his shoulder. He had to be put in a body cast and wriggled out of it the first night home! He healed just fine on his own and was back to his normal activities in a very short time. Hoping Maybee just has a bruise
How do I keep a 14 mo old border collie quiet in a cast? She’s doing much better this morning, thank the universe. 
activities soon . I have two ACD/Aust Shepherd mixes. Riley just turned six years and Freyja will be 6 next month. Both are still hell on wheels when it comes to playing 
Unless they see a bear , deer or squirrel to chase. 🫤. Herding dogs are great for hiking
