Feeding tiny kittens is SO much fun. I would put their bowls in a big plastic tub, to limit the mess and make it easier to clean up. Of course, it didn't take too long before they realized they could jump OUT of the tub and complete their kitten mission of making that mess.

3. Looking at Madoc now, it's hard to believe he was every that tiny.

He and his brother were smaller than their sisters and both, especially Madoc, were very food insecure. I had to separate them because they would push their way into all of the food bowls, making an even BIGGER mess.

Actually, most of Spooky's kittens were really small. When I took Arthur and his siblings to the vet to get their eyes treated, the vet said he didn't think they were even 3 weeks old. I knew they were that old because I first saw them the day they were born. Maybe Spooky just can't produce enough milk.

Not so much now. I get an occasional meow that isn't meal related. I think he lets his purrs talk for him.

They are so funny and cute and sweet and Maddoc checks all the boxes.

The milestones are such a big thing. Watching them realize what was in those food bowls, just before they climb in to eat. And, of course, that meant I wouldn't have to get up, every 3 hours, to feed them with an eye dropper. All of them chewed through the rubber nipples on the feeding bottles so I gave up on those.

And I always celebrated the first time I actually found tiny poops in the litter box because there would be no more need to stimulate their little butts.
