I hated watching Arthur being so uncomfortable, so I did a deeper dig.

After some more on line searching I drove out to the local Petco, in the dark, (I have horrible night vision) and found this small inflatable collar. They are advertised for dogs, so that's why I missed them. So far he seems more comfortable, although you might not guess that from the photo. Let's just say it's another adjustment at the end of a traumatic day.

This collar will also make giving him his medication SO much easier.

He spent most of the afternoon sleeping on me or hiding beneath a chair. He did have a good dinner.

I think this will be a much easier adjustment for him. He kept running into furniture with that plastic cone.

His view of things will be better, too. Even though the other one was clear, he still had a distorted view looking through it.

Sending vibes for his recovery, and for your recovery from your part of the ordeal.

Think of it as a very wide collar.

Sending healing vibes to you all.
So stressful when a fur baby is not well.

I just gave them some treats, and he was all in.

I did find him trying to escape the new collar and he had two paws stuck between his neck and the collar. So I did some adjustments. Carys was fascinated by his failed Houdini routine.

Tomorrow will be a stay at home day, for me, so I can keep an eye on him.

we have an old (24yrs old) cat who pees everywhere and they work for him. That would keep him away from his bottom. But that looks like a first class collar!

It flipped which-ever way and was totally comfortable for him to wear, save that it was a bit longer than his legs, which caused occassional tripping.
