That doesn’t think eating pizza is a religious experience?

somehow I don’t think that came from their wolf ancestors.

the Sherwood Anderson novel, Winesburg, Ohio. The moral of the book was that it's the little things in life that are important. Anderson said that people become "grotesque" looking for mysterious deep truths. Something like, can't see the forest for the trees.

I like your posts, they are akin to haiku poetry.

My other son was on the back porch playing cards with his friends. The son who brought home the pizza took a couple of slices and went up to his room to watch TV. He left the pizza on the kitchen counter. This was a huge mistake. We used to have a big old lab mix named Eightball. You can guess what happened next. After Eightball enjoyed the entire remaining portions of the large pizza he went for a nap on the couch. I didn't realize what had happened, but I did find the pizza box on the kitchen floor. My son who bought the pizza accused my other son and his friends of eating the rest of the pizza. I stepped in and told him to "Read the room" before he went on with his accusations. We scanned the room and there was Eightball with a large amount of red pizza sauce on his front paw.

Here's the culprit:

when I was a kid and a pizza was a heavenly luxury since it was so rare to have in the house.
This collie took it straight from the oven and dragged it on the floor to claim as his.
