Carys has decided to let me be her mom, again

She gave me a nice cuddle, last night. This morning she woke me up with a paw to my face and then came back for snuggles and she was purring at full volume. Hopefully this continues because I really missed her.

Glad to hear she has come back to the fold. Patches slept with me most of last night, taking up half the bed. Not complaining. Tiger finally came up for supper around 930 I’m sure he went back to his warm spot before too long.

6. I've learned to identify which cat is hopping up on the bed, without seeing them

So I was pleasantly surprised to sense Carys' light pressure footsteps, last night. At one point I was on my side and she just draped herself across my ribcage.

She's really engaged in playing with the boys, today, so I'm pretty sure she will be joining them for a lap nap, later.

Carys just settled right down against my chest and fell asleep. Then she shifted and curled up in the crook of my arm. SUCH a change from the last two days.

I have a feeling that she's going to keep me on my toes.

I think she's still just figuring things out, she's still just a baby and there's so much to figure out. Her relationships with each of her brothers and this human that brought her in the house and all that goes with getting used to stuff. She'll probably take over the alpha position from Arthur unless they decide to share the role.

7. That, and I suspect she had an upset tummy or hairball situation

But she's back to full speed, today.

I do have to remind myself that she was an older, totally feral kitten in October. Gryff was the same age (4 months) when I brought him home but I'm sure he had been socialized by someone, before they abandoned him and his siblings. He is, by far, the most affectionate cat I've ever encountered. First it was just towards me, but now he will snuggle with anyone who visits.

10. When we'd go on vacation, our old male cat got totally in a snit.

He wouldn't come up to us or have anything to do with us for about 3 days after we came home, then he'd decide to come up and get pets and sit in our laps again. His mom was the total opposite, wouldn't leave our sides after we got home. Both were good cats.
