When you just want your mom to put the kitchen to bed so we can go outside to play frisbee in the dark and the snow. Please.

but when he left the planet, I couldnt fathom not having the crazy border collie energy in my life, so here I am.

(92,491 posts)What you really needed! And look what a happy little girl you have to spend your days with. She looks so sweet and playful. The few that I have known personally were the coolest dogs.

(52,220 posts)I aspire to be at their level but I am a human and therefore it can not ever happen. Humans are way below dogs (my opinion of course) in just about every category and having undying patience is one of them.

(24,009 posts)Ive always had border collies and sometimes theyre anything but patient. This one tries so hard shes only a year old.

(52,220 posts)You can see them trying hard, too. I know my dog would sit so still and she was almost shaking. Their body language (and their eyes and ear language) speaks volumes. I would always give in to my dogs when I knew how hard they were trying to be good and please me. How can you not give in to their efforts and still have a heart?

(10,002 posts)or has she figured out the spellings already? As you know, she likely will.
BC's are so damn smart - just look at her, watching every move, every word. And everything is "yes, what are we waiting for".
We spell play, dinner, frisbee, puzzle, leash and I dont spell harness any more. I just say weve got to go to work, please get your harness and she does.

(24,009 posts)Booger is gorgeous! How handsome. You must tell me how you came upon his name?
Edited to add a pic of your beautiful border collie:

(890 posts)I've always had border collies and poodles. When they all got old and died I decided that I wanted a Great pyranese. The one I wanted to adopt from a rescue was named Booger. But the foster lady wouldn't approve me. She thought I was too big a snow flake for that boy. We ended up adopting a 1/2 pyr, 1/4 each border collie and husky. But my granddaughter chose Opie for him. Which is perfect. When Booger came along, I knew his name had to be Booger. He really is a booger too. Thanks for the chats!
