(21,613 posts)I put him back in the crib and asked him to show me how he could get out. He performed this exact escape for me! I had to put baby proof door handle covers on the doors, remove the reading lamp and totally toddler proof his room after he made his big escape! He is very tall for his age so he could get his leg over the side even though the crib matress was on its lowest setting. My neighbor's twin boys never climbed out of their cribs. Go figure.
perfect!

Love this!

(17,044 posts)Keys not on the peg...stool under keys. Three year old son had climbed up on the stool to get the keys off the peg, opened the deadbolt on the door, opened the car with the fob, and was in the process of trying to figure out how to push the brake pedals with his hands while attempting to start the car (he's too short to reach both).
He had just been talking to me while I peeled vegetables for dinner and then was gone. Not 3 minutes had passed. Gotta watch 'em every second!

I fell and broke my collar bone while trying to escape my crib when I was about that age. No gymnast here!
