I "borrowed" 2 from a co-worker. They cleared out poison ivy and blackberry bushes (wild ones) very nicely. Just don't let them get near landscaping plants you want to keep.

The poisonous oil is still in those dried up and dead looking stalks.

Good luck. We never had much luck around here with organic methods, but I hope they work for you.
