They were really cool and needed there since there are so many hedgerows. Basically it's a mower on an articulating arm that can more vertically or horizontally - and probably angles in between.

The tractor will drive up one side, then the other, then cut the top flat. It may not be as pretty as hand trimming but it sure is efficient!

I pretty much went from 'Grunge Rock' to 'Punk Rock' style hedges.
