(38,955 posts)we've been trying to decide whether to eat it ourselves, or bring it to Christmas dinner tomorrow.
(I do have an apple pie and a batch of brownies going to Christmas dinner)
I think we've settled on each of us having a brownie tonight and bringing the babka to family tomorrow.

(38,955 posts)It was in my Cooks Country cookbook that Al gave me a few months back.
Almost right after he gave me the cookbook, I got to see the Cook's Country people make one on an episode.
There are a LOT of recipes in this book I'm going to try.
I tried the pecan pie recipe for Thanksgiving. Sadly, it's a thumbs-down. TOO SWEET, to the point of being inedible.

(38,955 posts)The recipe said it could sit in the fridge for 24 hours. I took advantage of that.
Had to make the chocolate filling, roll it out and assemble, bake, and then glaze.
I can't wait to try it.

(22,664 posts)I'll take it to my Sunday School class. We sign up for snacks, so I will pick a date and gather the stuff. I love yeast dough; the kneading is very good therapy.
Babka has been on my bucket list for quite some time.
