side is colorful cabbage salad left over from today's church potluck
dessert is cookies from yesterday's cookie exchange. My contribution was soft pumpkin cookies with cream cheese frosting and Christmas sprinkles, but there are also peanut blossoms, gingersnaps, peppermint brownies and a couple different kitchen sink kind of cookies.

Here's the cabbage salad recipe. I added a little rice vinegar, lime juice and a teeny bit of sriracha. https://www.loveandlemons.com/cabbage-salad/#wprm-recipe-container-70865

'just break an egg' with added chopped sweet red pepper, splash of tabasco, slice of toasted whole wheat sourdough, coffee ice cream or flan for dessert (or pieces of Terry's Chocolate Orange, bought for myself and family for Hanukkah!)

Will have some with a little pasta and a dab of leftover salad. Will freeze the remaining three quarts in 2.5-3.0 cup servings. Have prepared a chicken breast Cordon Bleu, but might just wait to cook it until tomorrow night.

I was making red sauce anyway (marinara), so I started the dough at the same time. Toppings were simple - pepperoni, green olives, parmesan and lotsa mozza.

There's enough pizza to reheat later in the week, and 2 quarts of sauce cooling. Some or all for freezing - I may decide on pasta later this week, so I may keep some in the fridge.

So that burned through 3 pints of home-canned tomatoes and another pint of home-dried tomatoes in oil. This may be the first year in a while that I actually run out of tomatoes. I didn't can much of anything this fall. Maybe next year.
