? For chili experts

I have maybe pound off sloppy Joe manwich burger left so I’m wondering if anybody has ever used it as a chili base.

And I have several sweet Italian sausages leftover from Sunday cooked.

? Do you think the sweet Italian mixed with burger would be to much either way in taste.

Thanks in advance

created a new dish! Only tip I have for chili is adding about a half cup of unsweetened cocoa. Saw it on a chili cook off show years back and it is what I have been doing ever since.

I love the flavor. Sweet Italian sausage isn’t a really strong taste, so it should work. I just did a rotini bake last night where I combined sweet Italian sausage and ground turkey with a tomato/veggie sauce. It turned out tasty.

Best of luck with your new creation!

The two spices needed are chili powder and cumin to give it that chili flavor. And of course garlic and onion. Cumin goes a long way, though. So spice and then taste. Spice and taste until happy. Cumin can taste and smell like dirty feet if you over use it, lol. But, it is neccessary for that chili taste. Oh,but lots of chili powder, in my opinion.

and if you add real chile powder, cumin, oregano, garlic, and some beans to extend it, you might end up with something wonderful.

Or you might decide to do the chili without the loose burger sauce.

(I'd use hot Italian sausage rather than sweet but I like food that bites me back)

Italian sausage also good to add to beef for in meat-a-loaf.

He made it for years that way and I did as well before I developed my own recipe. It works just fine.
