What's for Dinner, Mon., Oct. 30, 2023

Matzoh ball soup (is there anything better than a matzoh ball on an overcast day???!).

Toasted rustic bread half.

Tried a new kombucha: Tepache Mango chili. Not sure yet if I like it.

It was a nice warming meal.
For dessert, graham crackers with low carb sweet cream cheese spread I made yesterday.

I didn’t get out to the store today.

Today’s version has onion, asparagus, carrot, and celery, same as yesterday, but with some frozen peas added.
Sesame oil, soy sauce, sriracha, and brown sugar for the seasoning. Sadly, no eggs. Ate the last one this morning.

Halloween candy for dessert, courtesy of my roommate.
Weird coffee again.

Eggplant parm.
Chicken divan
For two of us.

Eating out has gotten more expensive, but we eat less as we get older.
So lunch at a restaurant usually = dinner at home.

with a side of Penne Rugate and marinara together.

I'm happy . . . . and sleepy.

I make it once maybe every five years. What prompted me: the meat was $31 and I was able to apply a $10 coupon and I'm getting $25 extra in my salary for dressing up for Halloween. Couldn't resist free veal.
