(11,463 posts)When I ordered 9/25 something to cook eggs, I agreed to pay $7 Shipping and Handling for a Sept 29 delivery date. All along including for most of Friday it said delivery expected by 10 pm Sept 29. Now they tell me we're sorry, delivery expected Sept 30 - Oct 3. Not a word about refunding the $7 S&H I paid. Now I have to be watchful hawkeye for several more days to get the package before the porch pirates.
(On the same day Friday I spent 1 1/2 hours fighting to get into my Chase account with an obtuse customer rep who has no conception that their new security software might be other-than-flawless -- another story )
Anyway the Amazon order expected yesterday has something I was hoping to use to cook hard boiled eggs according to Hoyle Hard Boiled Eggs thread a couple days ago but I guess not. So I wait and wait.
For now, at 516 AM local time, I haven't begun to think about breakfast, but its time to plan. I'm reducing my inventory of a too-big order of hamburger, so I'm likely to do something with that. Had my 423 AM coffee though. I plan a quick toast and jelly about now with the impossible-to-squeeze jelly squeezie bottle.

Glass jar ketchup black summer truffle. Doesn't sound as if you'll be able to try it.
Re Amazon, call them and ask for a credit. They can see the delivery changes. They're good about credits under those conditions.

(11,463 posts)I think I will give them a break and not dispute the shipping charge since it was delivered well before the expected dates I was given for free delivery (I'm not a Prime member).

That's a nice surprise. As indicated in #10 above, I didn't say anything about it.

Genmaicha tea is a type of Japanese tea infusion--blend of bancha green tea and roasted brown rice.
