What's for Dinner, Wed., July 12

Cold pear soup with gorgonzola crumbles, toasted walnuts.

I made a big tuna salad with homegrown celery, dill, and onion. Mayo, toasted sliced almonds. Chopped romaine for the salad bed.

Blueberries with vanilla yogurt over a toasted waffle.

Tart cherry kombucha.

...that will probably be my dinner, too. I usually only eat one full meal per day and I'm pretty full at the moment. I'll probably just snack some later. K is still on a restricted diet, and they're keeping her in the hospital at least until dinner time, maybe another overnight, so our plans are up in the air at the moment.

(Ms K is recovering from a SUCCESSFUL surgery, so it's all good!)

Confronting the leftover problem here. I had some leftover NM Indian corn left from the other night so I cooked some ground beef and added some taco seasoning, then stirred in the corn mixture. I cooked up a big pot of rice (so there will be leftovers for when I go out of town next week) and will serve over that.

Dessert can be leftover lemon soda pop cake I made for a potluck Monday night, or ice cream. Or both.

since my sour cherry tree is bearing again after a hiatus last year, served on pitas with yogurt, hummus, and taramasalata on the side. Maybe a cucumber tomato salad as well, although we had that for lunch.
