Why don't we lose weight evenly?

I've been dieting (Atkins) for a couple of months and I've lost about 12 lbs. - but it's off my face and limbs, not my big fat rear end. My legs are thinner but they never were fat. My hands are starting to look bony (but it's nice to be able to get rings off and on easily). How come my butt won't go away? I'm afraid I'll eventually look like a wood tick.

Been working on losing weight since August, and have the same issue. But no, I don't think you will become a wood tick! It will even out. Keep at it!!

I have a lady friend in Maine whom I've known for 50 years.
She always had a big butt that she said made her look like a bubble bee.

She finally lost it after buying and using a treadmill.

So, I guess extended walking?

wood tick!

when I lost wieght it seemed to be from my arms. got some great wing flaps now.

you might try some specific exercises to tighten up - squats, chair squats or assisted squats can do wonders for butts
