My new favorite Diet Food- Miracle Noodles!

They were mentioned on Dr. Oz so I looked them up and sent away for a sample pack via Amazon.com. Was completely blown away- and for a low carb, gluten free dieter - they are a terrific substitute for pasta. Had some last night with sundried tomato pesto sauce and a little parm cheese-- very impressed. Low cal, low carb and healthy too- "the soluble fiber found in the Miracle Noodle slows digestion and prolongs the sensation of fullness and is an essential part of any weight loss program. You also absorb more nutrients in the foods you eat with The Miracle Noodle due to the slowing of digestion."

Seems that they absorb whatever sauce you use for them so next I'm gonna try them with tamari and veggies. Also available as a rice product- very cool! Not inexpensive by the way but worth the investment.

I had such high hopes after reading recommendations about them, but I did not like them at all. Glad you did though!

The variety pack also has rice- which I will try soon. I am hopeful that they will be just as good. I was very surprised by the way- totally did not expect them to be so good.

I just tried the rice, I like!

The rice itself didn't seem to have any flavor. The texture felt like tapioca to me.

I put it in a cup of chicken soup for lunch. It was good and filling too. I'll have to wait and see how long I feel full. I bought the fettuccini and the angel hair pasta also but haven't tried them yet. So far so good.

Sauteed anchovies, capers, some red pepper flakes, a few olives and marinara sauce in one pan. Mixed it into the pasta (after boiling for 3 minutes and rinsing a second time)- sprinkled with Parm cheese- delicious! Really satisfying. Have not tried the rice yet- so far the favorite is angel hair.

you can buy these pretty cheap. In my 'hood, they go for $1.29 per 7 oz. package. They're called "Shiratake" noodles, and can be found in the refrigerator case.
