80 days so far smoke free

I smoked 2 packs of Camel Crush every day and have smoked cigarettes for over 40 years.

I had previously tried on several occasions to quit but nothing worked. A few years back I tried an ecig, but found them too messy and time consuming to deal with, plus the batteries were awful and never lasted more than an hour or two.

I had read that ecigs have much improved over the past few years and decided to give it another try, so I bought a "cigalike" Halo G6 in early December, then moved up to the Halo Triton shortly thereafter. The batteries are now very good and the juices (especially Halo) are a lot better than they were when I tried them the first time and they tasted like stale chemicals.

I immediately stopped smoking real cigs and really haven't craved one at all since switching to ecigs in early December. I told my doctor and despite some stories that ecigs have not been studied enough to be declared "safe", he applauded it and encouraged me to keep with it. Basically he said that with a real cig there are over 4,000 chemicals you are inhaling and with an ecig there are none of those chemicals present.

No more wheezing, no more coughing in the morning, no more sucking wind on my daily 2 mile walks. I feel at least 20 years younger.

It's been one month for me.
I picked up my new e-cig on a Wednesday and put out my last real cigarette the following Monday night. I was a pack-and-a-half a day smoker, and had been doing it for over forty years. It's a miracle and a godsend to have such an easy way to just shut off the poison!
Sadly, so many want to restrict them.
Meanwhile, cigarettes remain legal.

A lot of people have said that once you quit real cigs they are sickening to smell (or smoke) but that is not the case for me. I am around smokers quite a bit and don't find the smell repulsive. What does it for me is that ecigs have so much more flavor than real cigarettes and you can vary that whenever you want whereas a real cig always tastes the same.

...so I don't know if I would find it appealing or not. But yes, the flavors of the e-juices are so varied and tempting in flavor! We all start out with tobacco flavors and then realize there is no need to be tied to it. I can "smoke" peppermint or cherry limeade or mocha!

Halo makes a juice called "Kringle's Kurse" that tastes somewhat like a candy cane. My wife vapes it all day long.

I don't know why anyone would start smoking cigarettes after using an ecig. They are simply not comparable and the flavor/taste of an ecig is totally different than a tobacco cig.
