Update: had my first teletherapy session, and she's in the mental hospital

Hi guys. I'm doing talk to text so forgive my shitty punctuation and run on sentences I will try to go back and fix things.

If you're late to the party, it was about a week ago that my wife strangled me more than once, police came, she got felonies she got released, she went to the ER, and got a 5150.
I haven't really gone anywhere, the bruises on my jaw finally healed yesterday. I have been reorganizing and cleaning here and there taking my house back. Going to do some big heave ho with all of her shit next week, it's all shoved in the spare bedroom right now. I I'm still waiting for my lawyer or someone to tell me what to do with everything...
I got teletherapy through my college. I like her so far she's a really good fit, and we're going to focus on healing trauma and she did give me homework and I have been working on it! Onward and upward, right?

So they transferred her $51.50 to a actual facility she's now in over in Reno. I'm still waiting to hear from the DA victim unit to find out what that means as per her upcoming pretrial November 8th. Hopefully she will stay in there and they will just do it with her on zoom.
I'm holding on to the idea of Arizona. As much as I would like to move down there, it's really not logistically possible and would cost more than I'm willing to spend. And if she is in a facility, I'm safe.
So maybe I will just arrange to visit one of my classes in person for a week, and go visit and enjoy the sun when the first big nasty snow comes LOL 😜

So that's where we're at. Happy election day. I've got My vibe meditation music on the TV. 🥰
Let's celebrate ALL of us Turning the Page 📃😉🌊💙

I need to definitely look into that as well. I'm sure I have undiagnosed ADHD, anxiety and all other wonderful things that are attached to all of this garbage. I take cymbalta, and its definitely been good for a long time.

So yeah, definitely pursuing all angles. And hopefully my insurance will give me a more long-term therapy, because school is mostly for crisis. So I think I've got about 90 days there...

It's amazing how much we belittle our own suffering or trauma. So when I have days where I feel like I do very little I have to remind myself that I am healing...

It's difficult not to feel the guilty in some way for just allowing myself the space and the time.

Dishes are clean, cats are fed, bills are paid, so what am I worrying about?

You deserve to feel safe and secure. I hope that your insurance provides a good therapist for ongoing treatment to help you deal with the trauma. Take care of yourself!
