Has anyone tried the T-Tapp exercise DVDs? Any comments or reviews?

I'd be adding T-Tapp to regular aqua aerobic classes. I'd like to know if anyone with experience found that the exercises increased strength and core stability, and also if the "hoe down" exercise impacted their blood glucose numbers favorably. Thanks!

Thank you for your answer. I do wonder if T-Tapps will bother my bad knee, but Nay Jan 2017 #2

I just have a problem with consistency.

And yes, the hoe downs work wonders for my glucose readings. I'm only on 500 mg Metformin 2x /day. The largest drop I've seen was my level spiking at 257 am hour after a moderate binge at lunch where I had three tacos at a local Mexican restaurant - probably should have only had one small flour shell and just the insides of the other two.

That number scared me, so I went into the ladies room and did 3 sets of hoe downs, paying strict attention to form, walked the long way back to my desk to cool down, then another 2 sets. I tested 20 min after, and had come down to 190 points. I tested 30 min after that, and was down to 145.

I've proven it with my meter several times, and was asked to share "hoe downs" and info in T-tapp at a Delaware Diabetic Coalition workshop I attended.

It also works wonders for my balance.

Happy Tapping! I'm going to try to be more consistent in 2017.

I think I'll give them a try anyway. I'd love to have something to do that would bring down blood sugar that quickly. I also take 2 500mg Metformin every day and watch my carbs, but every once in a while I have a lunch like yours!

I have T-tapped through a broken/dislocated shoulder/torn rotator cuff rehab. Now I'm back to doing primary back stretch (with the towel) and other arm sequences. I also have had knee issues (a subluxing patella) which I called the office about. They pointed me to some articles on their forum on how to modify the exercises to compensate until you build more strength.

Just doing knee-little-toe, tucking butt, and bending your knees enough to activate the muscles in your legs is a mod for the Plie Squats, so you keep the bottom half stationary as you do the arm moves. I still have issues with taking the T-Tapp Twist up to speed. It torques my knees so I take it slower and don't do as many reps. As you build strength, you'll be able to bend deeper, turn your knees out more, etc.

Join their free forums at ttapp.com and do a search on "modifications knee" and you'll come up with quite a few suggestions.
