Hey. Someone directed me to this group.

As for myself, I was born with a severe to profound deafness. I've never been hearing. I've been in a variety of deaf programs ranging from oral to total communication. I'm a grad of Model Secondary School for the Deaf. Nice to meet you all!

join in.

Hard of hearing since late 20's due to heredity, childhood accident and loud noise exposure. Bilateral ha's for the last 10 years and slowly losing more. My spouse is finally to the point of needing aids but being resistant due to the cost so we are working on that.

My first set was the demo unit from prior year, then I got refurb ones, now have 1 newish full cost bte and a 5 yr old refurb in the ear which needs replacing soon.
