(5,673 posts)Hi Uban and Friends,
This is my week off of chemo. I am feeling great, eating well and living! The last three weeks of chemo got progressively worse. Last weekend was the most horrible that I have had since my first week. All the nasty side effects ganged up on me.
I don't have much stamina, but I just take things a little bit at a time. I had a great day with my sister today. We had Mexican for lunch, then headed for Amish country to do some shopping. I got a new pair of handcrafted earrings, a gourmet cheese ball and topped it off with homemade ice cream. I rarely spoil myself like that.
I'll meet with the doctor on Wed. and find out what he has in store for me next. I guessing he will do another three rounds of chemo along with a CT scan. This week I plan to fill up my body with all kinds of good food and get ready for three weeks of misery.
I think of you often, Uban. When I get down, I remember that Carol is no longer with us and that I should not be complaining. Right now I'm pretty darn lucky.
I love you all and am very grateful for the messages you send my way. cmd

(6,086 posts)Anytime you get to enjoy a little life while doin chemo is a good time. Just keep eating. That will give you the energy you need to stay feeling better. And keep spoiling yourself, it gives you something to look forward to when the SEs subside.
