This is directed at the families and friends of alcoholics and drug addicts:

I find that I'm developing an aversion to those substances even though they aren't my drug of choice. I used to joke that once I figured out I didn't like pot's effect on me, I realized my job, when I got the bong was to pass it along. Now, while remaining a card carrying NORML person, I find I don't even want to be around the bong. don't want to be around alcohol either.

I went to a dry New Years Eve party. I didn't know it was dry until I got there but I found I had a blast with people who weren't drunk.

Anybody else finding this to be the case?

You don't even want to know how I feel about Vicodin and Xanax, but that's because those are the addict's DOC.
