HBO Perry Mason...Season 2 started....
https://www.hbo.com/perry-masonI loved season 1....This is not the familiar Perry Mason from the `1960's TV show....it is realistic and, in an eye, opening setting of Los Angeles in the early 1930's I believe is the time period.
The flow of the show resembles the Russell Crowe film of 1997," L.A. Confidential (film)"...
I posted an HBO link which has clips.

(13,817 posts)Still in the " warm up phase"....Della Street is so brilliant and dynamic! Really represents a woman in a double standards culture...I find the Paul Drake character also dynamic....Yes...Perry is just not the Perry Mason of the 1960's....he is multi layered and a true liberal...He struggles with old baggage demons I guess...
I heard that Kathy Bates was going to be in Season 2...????
