Los Espookies. Every now and then a show breaks all the rules...
I can't catalog this one, but it is fun to watch. Mostly a Spanish cast with some American actor surprises, Like Carol Kane. Los Espookies is a group of young twenty-somethings who are trying to make it in the world, hoping to use their love for setting up horror props, in order to make a living. This desire is offset by the real need to make a living. Those who dip into the usual exploitative business ventures find plenty of opportunities for spoofs and social commentary. Basically, you do find yourself asking if their dream is any more ridiculous than some of the job opportunities that pass for "real work."
And it all looks like a case of arrested development until one of their clients disappears in a prop that happens to be cursed.
Lots of Spanglish, showing some reality in today's method of communication. Bilingual mash.
Caption for those who can read quickly, because the dialogue is fast.

Julio Torres is hilarious (Andrés with the blue hair), and he has a special on HBO Max... "My Favorite Shapes".
Tati is my favorite, I think... trying to make a living with her very strange product testing gigs.
I'm so happy about season 2!
