On edit: NOT Netflix - Amazon Prime Video
Brian Cranston minor character.
Drama, intrigue, constant action, family life, quirkiness, twists and turns, con man schemes.
Grandmas and Grandpas and cousins and lovers and ex-girlfriends.

(42,770 posts)Thinking way ahead.. kind of reminds me of Imposter. They had a good premise but it was only worth one season and fizzled out fast.
Thinking ahead I can't imagine this could go on for multiple seasons. Like they did it ALL in one.
Sorry, I've been caught up in great shows only to realize they were not extended. Bummer.

(17,273 posts)but I've lost interest (maybe pushing the 'idea' too far?).........
But, I REALLY did enjoy the first season!

(42,770 posts)I will try to be 'in the moment" and enjoy season 1. Especially when my husband gets home and I can watch it again and pick up all the detail I missed

(34,358 posts)at a theater before it started. I have not watched it but he said it was basically about him and his earlier life. I may need to watch it with this recommend.

(42,770 posts)a podcast. Really bad early life. To me, unbelievably, his acting prowess was surpassed by others, unknowns I suppose, on this show
MuseRider
(34,358 posts)could have been very different. He did what he could to get by. I do not remember any of the details really, he has a book out that talks about that among other things. I have it but have not read it yet.

(42,770 posts)Brian Cranston was a guest. It was really interesting. But you're right Brian had a very rough life growing up and was left to the his own devices. He takes roles based on how much they stretch him personally. And how they are diverse. To me, he was a very unlikable character in Sneaky Pete. But I haven't seen the whole thing yet.

(34,358 posts)Does Jason Bateman do a different one? I do listen to Smartless.
I recall hearing BC on a podcast but do not remember too much about it, probably because I had heard much of it before.
I enjoyed listening to him, his live show was really fun. I love shows like that. We also saw John Cleese in that venue and David Crosby doing a talking and playing tour.
Anyway, that was beside the point. He is an interesting guy who grew up headed spot on in the wrong direction. We are so lucky he figured his way out. He has given us so many interesting characters. I occasionally will go back to binge some of Malcolm in the Middle. He was genius in the roll as Hall.

(42,770 posts)For sure. Thanks for the idea I never watched Malcolm in the Middle.

(47,367 posts)I think it was the first episode where the harried mother answered the door topless. (We only see her naked back.) There was a great episode where Bea Arthur babysat the youngest child.
