It's gotten some pretty strange reviews. Personally, I enjoyed it. It's just odd enough, in a setting that is sort of comic-book surreal.

1. I liked it too

As you noted, it was shot in a somewhat stylized manner that fit the comic-bookish plot (which I found easy to follow for a change!).

I'm a fan of both Carla Gugino & Angela Bassett (who makes mincemeat out of age 62), & the rest of the cast performed well.

At nearly 2 hours, it didn't feel padded. All in all, a pleasant diversion.
