(15,805 posts)Everything is included under one payment that gets deducted from my SS. It's seamless and effortless and I don't have to bother with separate policies for basic medicare, plus a supplemental plan, and a separate Rx policy, and all of them with different premiums and different rules and providers. I've been with the same clinic for many years now, and I'm very satisfied.

(4,033 posts)Medicare Advantage plans, but I think they are very good. I have my 86 year old mom on one. Her prescription drug plan is from the state, but I don't let her use it, it's too expensive & they will only fill a 30 day prescription at $8 for generic and minimally $15 for a name brand.
Her copays are $5 for her PCP, specialists are $45 and hospital stays no matter the length is $350.
Mom is on all generics and we can get a 90 day supply for $10. We will only use her state plan on a very expensive name brand if she would ever need one.
