(21,044 posts)I wrote to the man that was here the other day and told him that the insurance did not offer much to do this job.
He took it anyway!
He said he'll be here tomorrow to start the job.
What a relief!
Thanks to all for your help with this!

(21,044 posts)I'm getting over the fall luckily.
The scabs are falling off from all of the abrasions I have from that fall on the wet concrete.
I will never wear sandals in the garage again when cleaning out the cat litter boxes. That's what I was doing when I fell.
When you get old, you can't take falls the way you could as a kid roller skating, that's for sure.
I am anxious about all of these things that need to be taken care of. I find these Temperpedic air mattresses are pretty handy. I have them made up into the other bed I was hoping to get rid of. It is usable and provides some comfort. The pain in my feet is bad. I can't stand to have anything much touch them due to the neuropathy. The last thing I'd ever want/need is a weighted blanket! Ack!
This has absolutely been probably the worst year of my life. I was not prepared to lose my husband. I can barely stand to look at a picture of him without crying.
I guess the grief will never go away as we were together for such a long time. I was not prepared for any of this.
Thanks again and I did figure out how to post this into the lounge last night.
