Who watched the Olympics Opening Ceremonies last night?

Even though the NBC coverage sucked, imo, compared to the BBC's, I loved how Danny Boyle incorporated the British Suffragettes in the "march of history." In between that, J.K. Rowling, The Queen being a rockstar, female military color guard members, and so many wonderful, strong female athletes, I was tickled pink (so to speak -- I look bad in pink and never wear it).

I know I forgot some things -- oh! Mobama! representing the US with the US Ambassador!

Honestly, that is what kept me glued to the TV last night, rather than just letting it play while I did other things. I'm glad I watched. National health care wasn't too shabby either.

And, the first Olympics I remember is (unfortunately) the 1972 Munich Olympics.
