I'm probably in the wrong group, and will get some sort of alert for this. But my wife's 75th birthday is coming up and I want to get her a sleep shirt. She really likes these things. Cotton mostly. She is a beautiful woman but she sees a 75 year old woman and doesn't find herself attractive. I was hoping to find something cotton, simple, tasteful but maybe a hint of lace or something? I've been looking but I either find stuff for 20 somethings with little if any at all cotton, or just oversized T-shirts. Am I looking at the wrong vendors.? Am I searching on the wrong search names? What am I looking for?

(18,510 posts)I just bought a couple of those off of Amazon myself. 100% cotton is my sleepwear preference for summer, but I haven't been able to find cotton nightgowns in stores for a while now, for some odd reason. Found just what I wanted in Amazon with a quick search.
If you want to see the ones I bought, put in this in the Amazon search box: "PNAEONG Women's Cotton Nightgown Sleepwear Short Sleeves Shirt Casual Print Sleepdress"
They really are like a cross between a nightgown and a t-shirt, and there are lots of colors and patterns to choose from. Definitely appropriate for mature women (I'm 72 myself).

(5,193 posts)and some are on sale now.
Top quality, free shipping if order is $65 or more. (I add in a few frivolities which then cost little or nothing.)
I'm a few yrs older than your lovely wife, and find items at Vermont Country Store that unavailable elsewhere.
Ex. foodstuffs, perfumes that we remember from back when, etc.
Good luck. She'll love whatever you choose.

(25,378 posts)Short, long, sleeveless, short sleeves. Many have a touch of lace or a bit of ruffles. Feminine but modest. Theyre rather pricey, but it sounds as if you think shes worth it.
