Lisa Boncheck Adams hopped off the Komen bandwagon years ago, long before the charity that puts on Race For The Cure events all over the world threatened to yank its funding for Planned Parenthood. (25,185 posts)For me, it was suing other anti-cancer organizations because Komen thought they owned the word "cure" and the color pink. The woman who runs it is a bit of a nut job as well, and she's still at the helm of that organization.
Let's face it, walking doesn't cure cancer, wearing particular colors doesn't either, only research has a shot of curing disease. All the money that these organizations take in that goes to anything other than research is just wasted.

The Planned Parenthood mess cause people to look at issues such as the salaries being paid and how much was actually going to fight cancer and that was the end of this "charity"
