A U.S. Army sergeant is accused of secretly videotaping at least a dozen female cadets at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Army Sgt. 1st Class Michael McClendon, a decorated Iraq War veteran, has since been removed from duty and sent to Fort Drum in Jefferson County, N.Y., as the Army investigates accusations that he took dozens of photos and videos of naked female cadets for nearly five years, the military academy said Wednesday.

McClendon "was in possession of inappropriate images allegedly taken without the victims consent," Army spokesman George Wright said

The Army's charging documents allege that McClendon made some of the recordings while the women were in a bathroom at the New York school and "preparing to take a shower."

2. I had a lot of reactions to this story.

So many I didn't pick any one of them to post as a comment.

I guess the biggest was thinking of the brou-ha-ha about women being able to enter as combat troops and that asinine article came out sobbing that it would hurt the dignity of male soldiers to have to poop in a bag in front of women. But damn if women aren't having their dignity robbed of them in every sector when they are in the military.

These male soldiers are displaying their utter lack of dignity.

It's way past time for genuine adult men to take responsibility for teaching the vast hordes of silly post-teenage boys what it really means to be a mature human male.

4. And I thought West Point was supposed to be the creme de la creme

Ever since Jackie Speier revealed an anti-female soldier group maintained by male soldiers on Facebook, I've been googling more of the terms used on the site. It's amazing how much sheer hate and disdain there is for women in the military. I guess it makes some low-status males in the military feel good to have a lesser status group to dump on.
