each and every anti-choice argument, whether based on religion, men's rights, fetal rights, etc., says that some THING, or some ONE, whether religious beliefs, the state, the male, the z/e/f, is more important than the woman.

it really is that simple.

1. Cognitive dissonance

I tend to see it more as a case many times of cognitive dissonance. In many cases, it is difficult for them to even discuss the woman which is why you saw someone refer to them as the "host" the other day. There is a severe logical disconnect in their logic if one acknowledges even the EXISTENCE of the woman. So they ignore it to a very great degree. They do it through a wide variety of rhetorical methods. They can use a version of dehumanization (Host/womb). They can do victim blaming "her chance to have a "choice" was before she got pregnant". Then there is the whole appeal to a higher morality, "God gave this blessing and it's not for "us" to decide ("us" meaning the woman but it is a great way to actually remove her existence from the discussion). It's all connected to the reality that the original modern objections to abortion and birth control had nothing to actually DO with the fetus, but with the objection to sexuality outside of procreation. The fetus gave a useful focus for asserting their point of view, as long as they could figure out how to ignore the woman. This is even more evident by the obvious disregard for the child once actually born.
