Florida Christian school says it will refer to students only by 'biological gender,' asks gay and transgender students to leave

Grace Christian School in Valrico told parents in an email that they "have to agree to all policies and procedures" before their child can start school.

A religious school in Florida says it will only refer to students by their sex assigned at birth, while pupils who are gay, transgender or gender nonconforming "will be asked to leave the school immediately."

NBC News obtained an email from Grace Christian School in Valrico, about 20 miles east of Tampa, sent before the beginning of the school year by Administrator Barry McKeen.

The subject line of the email reads: "Important School Policy Point of Emphasis. ... Please Read."

The June 6 correspondence to parents cited scripture and said that students will be referred to by the "gender on their birth certificates" during the school year beginning this month. While the email refers to "biological gender," the National Institute of Health defines "gender" as a social construct, as opposed to "sex," which is the biological difference between females and males.

"We are not a hateful group of people. We don't hate students who are of a particular persuasion."
However, those of particular persuasion may not break bread with us pure, pretentious, self-righeous assholes, just as Christ Crunch Cereal intended. No room at the inn for you, heathens!

This is why the people younger then Boomers have given up on church. My wife and I left Methodist church because of this hatred. I am a proud parent of LGBTQI children and will fight till my dying breath. Vote like your family’s life depends on it.

I saw this on another site that detailed this story. Since they are getting rid of all the sinners. I wonder how many members they would have left if they searched the history on every member’s computer. How many have visited porn sites

Sure, throw out all the kids who are known or suspected to be LGBTQ+. They'll be better off elsewhere anyway.

But goddess help any closeted gay or trans kid remaining in that school. There are the ones I really worry about.

"Accepted" being defined a couple of millennia ago, and probably not representative at the time.
