Failed politician Caitlyn Jenner has voiced her support for Joe Rogan, the controversial host of a Spotify podcast.
Rogan's podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, initially drew criticism due to rampant misinformation being spread about the ongoing viral pandemic. Rogan had often used racist slurs, called a movie theater in a Black Philadelphia neighborhood a "planet of the apes," and frequently endorsed and spewed transphobic rhetoric.
While he apologized for his racism, Rogan has not made similar statements about his transphobia. On multiple episodes, Rogan has stated or implied that the acceptance of trans people is a sign of societal collapse. He's also been blatantly transphobic toward specific individuals like MMA fighter Fallon Fox and repeatedly used anti-trans slurs after acknowledging that he shouldn't. In 2020 on an episode of his podcast, Rogan mocked Jenner for going through gender-confirmation surgery. "We're in la la land," he said of her in a July 16, 2020 episode.
On Friday, Jenner, who received 1 percent of the vote in 2021's California gubernatorial recall election, tweeted in support of Rogan. "Bye bye Leftover hippies from the 60's boycotting Joe Rogan on Spotify," she wrote.
"Nobody will miss you. Thank you Spotify for standing up for Rogan!"

(17,760 posts)It's appalling and speaks to their integrity but I don't think we should expect anything less from the right
Edit to add my apologizes: while I am a friend and supporter of LGBT issues I just realized I posted in this group and I'm not a member of the group. Please accept my apologies and, if needed, I'll delete my post

(1,962 posts)(I don't know how else to put it. Trust me, the hardest part of typing up this post is going to be avoid crossing the line and saying something I shouldn't. And, don't worry. The only trans person who is going to be flamed here has the initials Caitlyn Jenner, who from this point forward will be referred to by her real name: Kaitlyn Kardashian.)
Years ago, when this so-called reality TV star (and supposed former athlete, but, the 1976 Summer Games were like 4 lifetimes ago..) came out, a number of people thought this was going to be awesome. "A famous trans person coming out and speaking up! This will bring credibility to the trans community!"
You know what my response was? "You mean like Renee Richards was?" Let's face it. Renee transitioned, fought to play on the women's tour, sought the support of the community, and once she got what she wanted... basically left the community in the dust. Instead of being a voice for trans people everywhere, Renee... decided to be a voice for Renee. Whatever.
Well... Kaitlyn Kardashian would have to improve significantly to reach the lofty level of being a trans leader at Renee's level. Because I feared that was exactly what this reality TV clown would do... No. She's done far, far worse. Renee just made like the song and walked away. The trans community is covered in bruises thanks to Caitlyn's constant punching down.
I have no idea if Kaitlyn Kardashian is a self-loathing trans woman or not. But she has left no doubt over the last 5~ years or so that she hates every single other trans person - especially the women. I'm beyond sick of it, and sick of her.
"Amazing" trans woman and leader Kaitlyn tripped all over her own high heels to endorse Drumpf, who of course has not only terrorized the trans community, but added fuel to the fire of the transphobes.
"Courageous" trans leader Kaitlyn ran for governor (solely for attention), while making it clear she would've been A-OK with transphobe and bigot Larry Elder replacing Newsom last year.
"Trailblazing" trans woman Kaitlyn has gleefully supported and protected bigots like Kristi Noem and others who think trans athletes - especially women - have no place in sports.
And now here's "legendary" trans woman Kaitlyn sticking up for Joe Rogan - the cross between a giant thumb and an overgrown turd - even though he has done nothing but attack the trans community for years.
(Once again, it's so "fun" to watch everyone be behind the curve... Recordings surface of Rogan using the N-word? Off with his head! Years of footage of him attacking trans people? Ehhh, who cares? Besides, he has some real good points! He's like Bill Maher, but edgier! Nevermind that Maher is a transphobe too...)
I fully expected this bitch to not care once she got what she wanted (more fame, more money, more reality shows, more attention, less taxes, whatfuckingever). I expected even less leadership from Kaitlyn than I did from a caboose. But it's the attacks upon her own community than have me beyond disgusted.
You know these right-wing thugs you love cuddling up to? They hate you. Maybe even more than I hate you. You know why? Five letters: T. R. A. N. S.. I've seen plenty of them (like Rogan) say some absolutely vile things about you (for being trans, not for being a vile person inside). I've seen people who boycotted ESPN over giving you that award (which you don't deserve - you're not courageous, and have nothing in common with Arthur Ashe). I've seen change.org petitions calling for you to be stripped of your medals for transitioning, because "You won them under false pretenses!" (Gee, does that sound familiar?!) You're their useful idiot. And for that, congratulations. You are indeed an idiot, and have been useful to the bigots - by punching down on your own community.
What'd they do, KK? Promise you'll be on reality TV the rest of your life? Pay you? Promises that when they round up and kill trans people, they'll spare you? What the fuck did they give you to inflict constant abuse upon others like you?
I've bitched for decades about the horrors of reality TV, only to have people laugh at me, call me crazy, etc.. Well, look. Reality TV got us that fat fuck who hosted The Apprentice. And now reality TV has made Kaitlyn Kardashian the "voice" and "face" of the trans movement, when all she does is use her voice to attack some highly vulnerable people, and punches them in the face.
Is it worth it?
And, yeah, every so often I get someone who tries to bring up the Kartrashians to me. I say "I hate them and don't want to hear about them." A few times, I've been asked "Which one do you hate the most?" Caitlyn. "Because she's trans?" No. Because she bullies and abuses the rest of the trans community. She's. Fucking. EVIL.
This bitch is going to be responsible for someone's death... Excuse me, for more deaths. Can't forget that car accident. Then what?
Imagine being a trans teen in this day and age. You're trying to find yourself, you're scared, you hate the face that looks back at you in the mirror. Meanwhile, the former "president" spews hatred about you. An entire political party targets you and others like you - no sports, no bathroom, no nothing. Kristi Noem and her mouthpiece call you "a terrorist". People crash BLM protests to chant "Kill Transgenders!"
And who do you have out there as a voice, an inspiration, a leader? Kaitlyn Kucking Kardashian. But, instead of using her voice, her position, her fame to lift up and defend people like you and fight for you, she'd rather punch you in the face! She'd rather side with the bullies and bigots! "Yes, they're right. You have an unfair advantage in sports." "Trump is an amazing leader!" "Joe Rogan is right! Leave Joe alone!"
Feeling alone hurts less than feeling hated by your own kind.
Her words are going to be the death of someone... Then what? It's all good, more reality TV to film? Pat yourself on the back and say "Yeah! I got one!"?
Fuck you, Kaitlyn. Fuck you, and fuck Joe Rogan. Fuck all transphobes and bigots and all the pain they cause.
Throughout your pathetic life, you've "achieved" many things. Olympic glory. Endorsement deals. Fame. Wealth. "Stardom". But one thing you've never achieved, and never will, is something that is so easy to do that anyone can do it, but many choose not to:
Caring about someone besides your fucking self!
But you won't. I knew you wouldn't. As usual, you took my low expectations and went even lower.
One last thought, Kaitlyn:
When you lie down with fleas, don't be surprised when you wake up and see you're a dog.

(1,962 posts)You just basically said "TL;DR" to a transwoman responding to a trans issue, and made them feel like they should be quiet and not speak up because what they had to say is too long to fit into a Twitter post.
No, what I have to say about Jenner's abuse of the trans community can't be said in 4 paragraphs or less, considering how bigoted ex-friends have used her vile words to attack me for years.
On top of that, with this being the LGBT, this is supposed be a safe space for me to respond to such things and speak out about the cruelty she has inflicted upon people like me.
Maybe you thought you were cute and funny. I'm not laughing. People usually don't laugh after feeling like they've been slapped in the face.

(10,395 posts)Seems kinda rude to say you've stopped after five paragraphs. But then again I'm not sure most understand we us trans people come from especially since most straight folk don't understand what and how we feel

(10,395 posts)She is a walking backstabbing piece of crap. She aligns with those who will never see us as real women or men that have transitioned and would rather see us dead. We gladly would kick her out of the community

(1,962 posts)Especially when they use their platform to harm others, like Kaitlyn Kardashian does.
Sadly, it seems the media is fixated on them (especially the "new royal family", the Kardashians), and devotes more and more time each day to the drama and stupidity surrounding them. I don't watch TV news at all anymore, because it seems like constant coverage of Comrade Covfefe and the Kardashians. Even Jezebel, which once seemed to be a well-run and thoughtful site focusing on women's issues, now has to give us are daily dose of Kardashian drama.
Reality TV is going to be the downfall of society.
