Ben & Jerry's Joins BDS Boycott of Israel

The legendary Ben & Jerry’s ice cream company – whose product is produced and sold in Israel as well – has joined the BDS (boycott, divest & sanction) economic war on the Jewish State and issued a statement saying it will no longer sell its product in the “Occupied Palestinian Territory.”

The company announced Monday, July 19, that its management believes “it is inconsistent with our values for Ben & Jerry’s ice cream to be sold in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT). We also hear and recognize the concerns shared with us by our fans and trusted partners,” the company claimed in a statement on its website.

Americans for Peace Now, the U.S. sister organization to Israel's left-wing Peace Now, praised the move, congratulating Ben & Jerry's "for making a principled distinction between sovereign Israel and Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, which are illegal and illegitimate."

probably contributed to the last four years, by indirectly repeating the "lesser of two evils" argument that was pushed by the Nina Turners, David Sirotas, and Briana Joy Grays, which had an effect in those critical swing states which Hillary lost by less than 1%, and Jill Stein received 1% of the vote in those swing states, by discouraging people voting for the Democratic nominee. "why bother"

No I am NOT a fan of Ben and Jerry's and their misrepresentation of the Democratic nominee in 2016, which contributed to helping trump, and bringing about the situation that exists, not only between the Israelis and the Palestinians, but the entire middle east and world situation.

It was Trump who recognized Jerusalem as the Israeli capital and ordered to move the American embassy from Tel Aviv to the holy city, upending decades of the country’s foreign policy in favor of the Jewish nation, a move that made any peace settlement even more elusive. No Democrat ever suggested that.
