In the days leading up to Fridays mass rioting in the Temple Mount compound Palestinians had stockpiled stone slabs, rocks and fireworks around the site, according to a Saturday television report.
The Channel 12 report indicated police would look into why it had not managed to get wind of the preparations for the violent clashes at the holy site.
The clashes and riots at the compound that hosts the Al-Qasa Mosque followed prayers held there on the last Friday of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. At least 200 Palestinians and 17 Israeli police officers were wounded during the events.

(2,533 posts)Yeah I don't see a parity here. One side knows they will be attacked with any modern means seen necessary. And they are supposed to soak in the skunk water and like it.

(6,891 posts)Either turn over the entire WB (Except for the old city of Jerusalem) to the PA to form Palestine, allowing all who currently live there, to stay as Palestinian citizens. Or annex the entire WB and make everyone living there Israeli citizens, with full rights under Israeli law. All treated equally.
What is going on is untenable. What is considered by Israel (and under various agreements) to be ruled by the PA, is ridiculous.
Israel has no one to negotiate with, so they will need to do either one of these unilaterally.
