Russia Desperate for Soldiers - Russian Citizenship Offered to Foreigners to Fight in Ukraine - Joe Blogs

On 1st December President Putin issued a DECREE increasing the size of the Military by 170000. This increase was needed to keep the war in Ukraine going and replace the soldiers that have been killed and injured. Russia is struggling to recruit these new soldiers and President Putin has now issued another Decree offering IMMEDIATE RUSSIAN CITIZENSHIP to any Foreign National that signs up to fight in Ukraine for a minimum of 1 Year. In this video I discuss the recent announcement, look at the estimated cost of the war so far for Russia, discuss which countries Russia is looking to recruit from, look at another Russian Army Promotional Campaign and discuss the problems that Russia is now facing.

In WWII, the Soviet Union had about 6 million soldiers deployed in 1944, out numbering Germany 3 to 1 on the Eastern front. Total military deaths of over 8 million. Putin has plenty of fodder.

We will know he is desperate when he institutes a major draft or call up of reservists. The only reasons he hasn't since the initial invasion is one, to save face, and two, to prevent major civil unrest. The two are both consequences of the lies and propaganda fed to the people about how swimmingly the war is going.

I think both will occur anyway the longer the war continues. Just my take.

Added: In the United States we have the Selective Service registration requiring all male citizens, at age 17 to register for a draft. That is what I mean when I say "reservists". Putin already used his trained and ready to fight reservists.

Russia has already conducted raids at workplaces, scooping up any immigrants who already hole Russian passports and pressing them into the army. The ones who don't hold Russian passports are deported, silly because there is a shortage of manpower in Russia to work in an already faltering economy.

I suppose they'll be recruited again in a month or two to fill the jobs they were doing before they were deported.

Did I once say Russia was becoming Kafkaesque? I take that back, even Kafka didn't dream up some of this bullshit.
