If SAVE act passes, or has passed

If I change back to my maiden name, what all do I have to change? I know I'd have to do my driver's license, probably my passport. Would I have to change the name on my bank, utility bills, deed on the house, insurance, car title, my will?

I was trying to find information online. Most of what I found was changing to a married name. I read something about needing a court order to show to change your name. Do I need a lawyer to get a court order?

I don't want to change back to my maiden name, but if this stupid act passes or already passed, I'm worried if I don't change my name, I won't be able to vote.

I appreciate any advice. Thank you.

1. I am not saying it won't pass, but wouldn't it require removal of the filibuster in the Senate for it to pass?

If it passes it would be a nightmare to a lot of U.S. citizens to find proper documentation.

Ironically, this bullshit would make it more difficult for people actually born in the U.S. to track down their birth certificate or other such proof. Immigrants who have acquired their citizenship would probably have a much easier time to find their proof of Citizenship.

It is insane.

Start a Social security office with marriage certificate and birth certificate, old SS card, and ID of drivers license old one...
* you can get marriage certificate from county vital records where married, and birth certificate of county where you were born

Than change licenses, titles, etc...

I just wondered if I have to make changes to every single thing that identifies me with the name I've been called for over 50 years. At least, I won't have to change the name on the grave marker I got last year.

I was thinking about the inconvenience, the cost, the emotional toll, if the stupid idea passes. I read 83% of married women take their husband's last names.

So if you have ID showing you are married, they will probably direct you to a special no-wait line at the polls with a wide choice of complimentary refreshments.

Edited to add Gender + Marital Status

Married women favored Trump by 5 points, single women favored Biden by 23 points
