Endorsement or no, for Sanders not to divorce himself from Philly protests helps Trump

By not speaking forcefully against these preparations, Sanders is endorsing them and not the nominee. If he gets near a stage at the convention, I'll be surprised.

This group is so afield, they think the appropriate place to protest $ in politics and voting rights is the DEMOCRATIC convention! Dems have a bill in the Senate right now -not one of Sanders' mind you, oh no!- to combat Citizens United. And it's Republicans who stifle voting rights. How lost can one dormant campaign get?!

Worst of all they are actually training "hassle lines". We saw these outside some of Hillary's events already-

You may also be familiar with this tactic if you've ever escorted a friend or a loved one to a family planning center

Blowhards and dead enders all, all tied into Sanders via surrogates like his nurses-

In the basement of The People’s Summit, progressives simulated what they called “direct action.”

For some of the Sanders faithful on Saturday afternoon, the answer was locking arms on a civic center floor and struggling as “police officers” pulled them apart and “arrested” them.
The People’s Summit conference, sponsored by the National Nurses United — a progressive union that backed Sanders to the hilt during his run for president — is aimed at uniting all elements of progressivism into a single effort that exerts pressure on the Democratic Party and its presumptive presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton. Mourning Sanders’ loss and imagining what might have been was one part of the conversation.
....
The simulation was for what training leaders called “a blockade,” but they stressed blocking busy intersections or other disruptions may not be what the final protest plan looks like. “Direct action,” said participants in the training, is non-violent and peaceful.

It's gonna be a smelly protest!

DNC is aware of all of this, so is the city and PD.

Not be the last convention, doing grass roots organizing make develop a voting base to get their agenda passed. Looks like it is thev protests which arev more important than their issues.

Do these people not realize that they trying to do the same thing that happened at the 1968 convention? That didn't work out so well for the progressive cause.

The Vietnam War where if you were a young and poor guy you could end up fighting. The nominee Hubert Humphrey never won or ran in any primary.

What are the idiots who want to demonstrate in Philadelphia protesting? The fact that their guy lost?

Divisive national issue AND no primary results because the nominee was selected in the proverbial smoke-filled room by party insiders. This was also after two horrible assassinations that traumatized the nation. One of those removed the leading Dem candidate.

Even with all that, Humphrey was the quintessential liberal and would certainly have been a better President for us all than Nixon - although Humphrey was tainted by association with Johnson's Vietnam policy.

The Silent Majority were those who were frightened by what they saw in the streets. Nixon prolonged the Vietnam War. Voters rejected the Democratic Party, New Deal coalition fell apart and Republicans took power.

If Bernie truly wants a peaceful world, he must call off the angry mob that acts in his name as his posse.

To sink to such tactics is despicable, no matter who they are used against. These BS supporters are showing their mettle, and it is of the lowest quality.
