Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumI Think Bernie is Trying to Decide What To Do
I really think he planned to keep going after today's votes, certainly until DC and then some. I think he believed he had more time. Everything has happened so quickly between the AP announcement, the strong wins tonight, Hillary's acceptance speech, Obama's congratulations, the damning articles...
It is all coming down on Bernie.
He has to make the speech of a lifetime tonight and I think he has to change what he wanted to say.

(24,630 posts)he would concede tonight, end his campaign and throw his entire weight behind Hillary.

(1,630 posts)He got so caught up in the possibility that he really lost his way. All this time we knew he was making the final decisions but suspected his advisors were responsible for the kamikaze nature of his campaign. I truly thought he had a better handle on the realities of the vote. This is ending so badly for him.
As you say, the best path forward is one of grace and full throated support for Hillary. I hope he can do it.

In addition, he kept his supporters waiting for hours, and ended up giving his 15 minute stump speech
