Theyre everywhere. In the media. Online. In politics. At your workplace. Even in your family. Hillary bashers have been part of our political landscape for three decades. Youre probably familiar with their wide-eyed accusations, their seething anger, their abiding conviction that shes a blood-sucking monster out to destroy the world. Well, you can change your mindset to make them invisible.
Im not being facetious with this title. My intention is to provide a method for anyone who supports Hillary to bypass all the lies, distortions, mischaracterizations and character assaults and to focus on what really matters.
Hillary-bashing is one of the ugliest permutations of American politics and the most toxic part of the 2016 election. It pervades the national media just watch Morning Joe for five minutes and youll understand.
Turn on any news broadcast and listen to gleeful pundits faithfully regurgitate lies and smears against her.

(16,104 posts)2. The shame of it is...
when so-called Democrats take the bait.
When they do, the rightwing machine starts to chum and then it's a shark frenzy.
Everyone knows - "If it bleeds, it leads."
I guess a lot of us need some more rodeos. Then you begin to understand how it works.
It's maddening and embarrassing to watch people who are supposed to be on your side take the bait. They willingly step into these Right-Wing traps, like little sheep, and there's nothing you can do. Arguing with them only seems to strengthen their resolve and willingness to believe the lies, unfortunately.

This looks familiar! http://www.csj.org/infoserv_cult101/checklis.htm
The group displays excessively zealous and unquestioning commitment to its leader.
The group teaches or implies that its supposedly exalted ends justify whatever means it deems necessary. This may result in members' participating in behaviors or activities they would have considered reprehensible or unethical before joining the group.
The group is elitist, claiming a special, exalted status for itself, its leader(s) and members.
The group has a polarized us-versus-them mentality, which may cause conflict with the wider society.
The leader is not accountable to any authorities.
Subservience to the leader or group requires members to cut ties with family and friends, and radically alter the personal goals and activities they had before joining the group.
The group is preoccupied with making money.
The most loyal members (the true believers) feel there can be no life outside the context of the group.
