Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumI attended Bill Clinton's Woodland Hills campaign stop today
At the Hillary field office on Topanga Canyon Road.
The field office, in a mall that's being emptied to be redeveloped, was full and it was getting hot. The crowd chanted "Fans! Fans! Fans!" to get them to turn on the ceiling fans . They did finally turn on a couple.
I'd never seen the Big Dog in person. He's definitely looking and sounding a bit older these days but he can work this new avuncular charm to full effect. He still has quite a few fans, if the people shouting "We love you!" are any indication.
Congressman Ben Sherman was among the people who introduced him. "The nineties were great. We had peace, we had prosperity, I had hair." He's not alone, I think..
Very glad I went. Proud to be a California voter and Hillary supporter!

(15,438 posts)Thanks so much for the wonderful report! It's been very hot today - 101 degrees in North Fontana! Good thing we have a pool (above-ground 12x24 Intex) and an excellent air-conditioning system! lol My poor Chow Chow and ebony Pug would otherwise not be able to take this heat!
Unfortunately, had a lot of errands to run today so I was mostly outside of our (air-conditioned home) but our pets sure did enjoy it! It's going to be just as hot tomorrow.
It's 11:05 p.m. as I write this and it's still 72 degrees!!
This is SO TRUE!

(29,023 posts)I've said it more than once. We have an embarrassment of riches in the Democratic Party.
LOVES me some Big Dog.
He's always said that he married well above himself; I wonder if he knew he was marrying one hell of a great President.

I have never felt such charisma; it was a new experience for me, as I thought I was more or less immune to that kind of thing. I thought, No wonder so many women fall over backwards!
Not long afterward, Hillary was out here and gave a speech on education. It was not the same at all.
