Florida man caught trying to pass drug test at court-ordered class with fake bladder, deputies say

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Body camera video shows the moment a Flagler County deputy noticed that a man secured in his patrol vehicle threw a fake bladder device on the floor, according to the sheriff’s office.

A deputy stopped James Shepard, 52, as he arrived for his court-ordered drug class to provide a urine sample on Tuesday, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said.

He drove to the class on a suspended license, which was a violation of the felony probation he was actively serving for multiple burglaries and thefts, FCSO said. A deputy then arrested him.

“Driving on a suspended license was crime number one,” FCSO said. “Crime number two was strapped to his groin: A jerry-rigged Whizzinator, a bogus bladder of fake (we hope) urine wired to a heating pad with a faux ‘pizzle’ to make it convincing.” ..................(more)

Some screening tests require that the subject be observed in the act of producing the specimen, hence the phony phallus.

During my first tour of duty with the Air Force nurse corps, on of the female techs was really unhappy being in the military. She "borrowed" some urine from a pregnant friend in order to get discharged from the service. this was back in the mid 1970s when you no longer were automatically discharged if pregnant, but could choose to get out.
