2009 VA Elections vs 2021 VA Elections.

In 2009,
Republican Bob McDonnell won the Governors race against Democrat Creigh Deeds by a 59-41 percent margin.
Republican Bill Bolling won the Lt. Governors race against Democrat Jody Wagner by a 57-43 percent margin.
Republican Ken Cuccinelli won the Attorney Generals race against Democrat Steve Shannon by a 58-42 percent margin.
In 2021
Republican Glenn Younkin won the Governors race against Democrat Terry McAullife by a 51-49 percent margin.
Republican Winsome Sears won the Lt Governors race against Democrat Hala Ayala by a 51-49 percent margin.
Republican Jason Miyares won the Attorney Generals race against Democrat Mark Herring by a 51-49 percent margin.

The state of VA is becoming more Democratic.

Northam-D
Herring-D
Ayala-D

I would say Ayala. Ayala was a 1st time candidate when she narrowly lost the 2021 Lt Governors race to Winsome Sears-R- a black female like Hala Ayala.
Ayala-D will be the 1st black female Governor of VA if elected.

I also like Ayala and would love to see her run for Governor and think she would win.
